At Amethyst Homes, we believe that building high-quality houses starts with supporting the team which builds them. Recently, seven of our managers stepped away from their daily duties to participate in a bespoke Mental Health Awareness course.
Delivered by the experts at Help First Aid Training, the one-day intensive course was designed specifically to empower our leadership team to better support our workforce.
The course focused on several key areas:
• Defining mental health: Understanding the crucial distinction between general mental health and mental ill-health.
• Spotting the signs: Learning how to identify early warning signs of struggle within a fast-paced work environment.
• Proactive support: Equipping managers with the tools to offer meaningful guidance and create a safe space for open conversation.
Richard Bass, Managing Director at Amethyst Homes said: “The goal is to foster a workplace culture where no one feels they have to struggle in silence. By giving our managers, the confidence to start these conversations, we are ensuring that support is always within reach.”
